How to Delete Your Account
We believe in giving you full control over your data. You can delete your EcoFamilies account at any time. Depending on whether you have the mobile app installed or prefer a manual request, choose one of the options below:
Option 1: Delete Directly in the Mobile App (Recommended)
This is the fastest and most secure way to delete your account, as it instantly validates your identity:
- Open the EcoFamilies App on your mobile device.
- Log into your account.
- Go to the Profile or Settings screen.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice. Your account will be immediately deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion.
Option 2: Request Manual Deletion via Web
If you no longer have access to the mobile app, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team directly. We will process your request within 7 business days.
Please email our support team at support@example.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". In the email, please provide:
- Your registered email address or phone number.
- Your full name associated with the account.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently purged from our active databases:
- Your profile information, including name, email, phone, and profile picture.
- Your saved preferences and interest categories.
- Your active memberships, loyalty points, and wallet balances.
Note on Data Retention: To comply with legal, audit, and financial regulations, some transactional history (like tax invoices, payments, or donation receipts) may be retained in our archive logs for the legally mandated period. However, this data will be completely dissociated from your active profile and will not be used for any marketing or operational purposes.
